Orem High's Kaue Akana announced his commitment to the BYU football program early Tuesday morning on social media.

Orem (Utah) athlete Kaue Akana revealed his commitment to BYU, giving the Cougars a sixth prospect among the state's top 12 recruits in the 2026 class.

Akana, though, is a 5-foot-9 defensive specialist. She knew if she was going to contribute to that winning point, it would have to happen on the service line. And then Akana's dream became a reality.
