Gleyber Torres drew a 10th-inning walk to send home Wenceel Pérez and give the Detroit Tigers a 1-0 win over Houston, the Astros third consecutive shutout loss.

For the first time since the 1985 season, the Astros have been shut out in three consecutive games after losing in 10 innings Tuesday.

Ahead of the Detroit Tigers’ second home game against the Houston Astros, several players and their families participated in a special community event supporting children with physical or cognitive disabilities.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Jack Flaherty looked different against the Astros in his best start of the 2025 season, throwing seven scoreless innings.

The Tigers' bats began to come alive in the fourth inning in support of Flaherty. Wenceel Perez blasted his 10th home run, off losing pitcher Spencer Arrighetti, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
