Shohei Ohtani went 1 for 4 and fell short in his bid to become the National League’s first Triple Crown winner since 1937, stealing his 59th base to help the Los Angeles Dodgers rally past the Colorado Rockies 2-1 in Charlie Blackmon’s final game.

The Rockies held a 1-0 lead entering the eighth but couldn’t close the deal. Chris Taylor led off with a homer to right off Victor Vodnik to tie the game. Austin Barnes and Shohei Ohtani followed with back-to-back singles and then pulled off a double steal.

The Colorado Rockies went 30 years without losing 100 games in a season. Now they’ve done it in back-to-back seasons. At least they aren’t the White Sox.
