A student at an Elk Grove high school is isolating at home after testing positive for active tuberculosis, health officials say.

An Elk Grove high school student tested positive for active tuberculosis, according to a Thursday news release from Sacramento County health officials and Elk Grove Unified School District. The student attends Monterey Trail High School and is now isolated at home, expected to make a full recovery, the release said.
