Bubble Inn saw generations of 8-year-olds enter as strangers and emerge as confident young ladies equipped with new skills from the great outdoors and lifelong friends – bonds that would one day prove vital in the face of unfathomable tragedy.

Abby, who was 8 years old and a student at Casis Elementary, is the third child from Austin confirmed to have died in the July 4 flood. At least 96 people — 60 adults and 36 children — have died and more than 160 are still missing in Kerr County.

At least 27 campers and counselors at Camp Mystic perished in Friday's floods, with the total death toll in the floods now surpassing 100.
