The Republican-led House has passed a bill that would rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and direct federal agencies to update their documents and maps to incorporate the new name.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said her proposal to use the name Gulf of America would spark “pride” and codify President Donald Trump’s agenda.
