Brandon Nimmo homered again, Juan Soto came through with a tiebreaking single and the New York Mets held off the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2.

Brandon Nimmo belted a grand slam and Francisco Lindor drove in three runs, helping the host New York Mets salvage a split of their doubleheader against the Milwaukee Brewers with a 7-3 victory on Wednesday.

The lefthander pitched well into the seventh inning and Pete Alonso, Juan Soto and Brandon Nimmo all drove in runs as the Mets beat the Brewers, 3-2, in the rubber game of the series before 42,241 at Citi Field.
