Biermann earned a spot in the major by winning a one-day, 36-hole qualifier with a score of 143 at St. Clair Country Club in Belleville, Ill. She’s the 15th in program history to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open.

Entering the NCAA Tournament, Michigan State was given a No. 2 seed. Izzo was able to lead his team past No. 15 Bryant in the first round, No. 10 New Mexico in the second round, and No. 6 Ole Miss in the Sweet 16. Unfortunately, the Spartans were unable to beat No. 1 Auburn.

An addition to the Michigan State basketball schedule for next season has been announced.

Staying on it was the challenge. The Michigan State defensive tackle and former four-star recruit played the first four games of his true freshman year before being shelved to maintain a redshirt. A season-ending injury followed before the 2023 schedule began.

The Fort Myers Tip-Off field is set, with Michigan State scheduled to play East Carolina and North Carolina over Thanksgiving.

East Carolina, led by fourth-year head coach Michael Schwartz, is coming off a season that saw the Pirates win 19 games, including 10 victories during conference play. Their 19 overall wins are the most since the 2012-13 season, and their 10 league wins are the most since joining the American Athletic Conference.
