A Minecraft Movie creators have come out to explain their laid-back approach to creating the recent Minecraft adaptation.

A Minecraft Movie lacks the imagination, charm, and fun-filled adventuring that Mojang Studios' incredibly popular sandbox game possesses in abundance. There's a potentially good movie somewhere in its make-up, but it lacks the necessary materials and crafting table to create a truly great video-game movie adaptation.

Frantic barely describes the helter-skelter pace of A Minecraft Movie, which hits theaters April 4, beginning with a rat-a-tat-tat prologue about Steve (Black), a human who grew up wanting to be a miner and, in adulthood, made his dream a reality.
