On Saturday at 3:03 p.m. an updated winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Monday at 7 a.m. for Cambria and Somerset counties.

The National Weather Service is working to hire back hundreds of positions laid off or otherwise cut by the Trump administration, but it’s progressing at a snail’s pace, forcing many offices to continue to cope with vacancies that could affect winter forecasts.

An updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:14 p.m. valid for Sunday between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Cape May County.

On Saturday at 4:31 p.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 7 p.m. until Sunday 7 a.m. for Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for much of the Heartland as temperatures plummet and wind chills dip to zero and minus 10 degrees Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service has put all of central North Carolina under a cold weather advisory from Sunday at 6 p.m. to Monday at 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service has begun issuing winter weather advisories as Middle Tennessee prepares for snow across the first two days of December.

The National Weather Service at State College has issued a winter weather advisory for central Pennsylvania from tonight into Sunday, with between 2 and 5 inches of snow expected.

On Saturday at 11:44 a.m. a cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Monday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.
