The Boston 25 Weather team is continuing to track a winter storm system that could bring snow to Massachusetts on Saturday. Pipaluk Lynge said the reception of Donald Trump's son in the autonomous Danish territory wasn't as bright and happy as he has claimed.

Winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings are in place for nine states across the U.S. as of early Tuesday morning, and up to nine inches of snow is forecast by the National Weather Service (NWS) in some parts of the country.

Bands of lake effect snow pounding the Tug Hill plateau today are expected to drift south late this afternoon, bringing 3 to 7 inches of snow to much of Central New York through Thursday. More than 3 feet of snow could fall in the traditional lake effect bull’s eye of Tug Hill.
