The very first review of Metaphor: ReFantazio is in, and it's glowing. Long-running Japanese magazine Famitsu has awarded the upcoming JRPG a 37/40. That's the exact same score it gave Persona 5 Royal back in 2019, so it looks like the Persona veterans behind it all are keeping up their impressive pedigree.

Persona 5 was a ridiculously long game, and it looks like the next title from the devs behind it, Metaphor: ReFantazio, will take up just as much of your time.

As reported by Gematsu, Famitsu’s latest batches of video game reviews are out. If you are curious, they gave Metaphor: Refantazio a very strong score of 37/40. That breaks down to four reviewer scores of 9/10, 9/10, 10/10, and 9/10.

Metaphor ReFantazio launches on October 11 for PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series consoles and PC, but one outlet has reviewed the game early.
