PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike McCarthy hired former Minnesota Vikings assistant Brian Angelichio on Wednesday to serve as Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator. Angelichio spent the past four seasons as the tight ends coach/passing game coordinator in Minnesota.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will not be seeing Scott Tolzien as their next offensive coordinator, as he will be returning to the Saints. In addition to Tolzien, Saints tight ends coach Chase Haslett will be returning to the Saints and removed himself from consideration,
While Mike McCarthy and the Steelers are looking for an offensive coordinator, the chance to work with Tyler Shough is too good to pass up.
