An officer was hospitalized and police were searching for one person after a shooting Thursday morning in southwest Houston, officials said. Officials with the Houston Police Department provided limited details about the shooting on Twitter, saying preliminary information was that someone had shot an officer from another agency and fled on foot.

An 18-year-old man from Brampton has been identified as a suspect in a shooting that occurred outside southwestern Ontario's largest emergency department in December, London police said.
