The Kansas City Royals dodged a major injury scare against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night. In the first inning, Vinnie Pasquantino dealt with a heat-related illness while facing White Sox starter Sean Burke. Pasquantino struck out after a nine-pitch battle but required medical attention midway through the at-bat.
Lenyn Sosa homered for the Sox, but that was all for a team that has cooled off mightily after a hot second-half start.

Quatraro stormed out of the Royals’ dugout at Kauffman Stadium to address Hanahan after outfielder Kyle Isbel was called out on a stolen-base attempt.
Chicago White Sox starter Davis Martin took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. But the Kansas City Royals rallied against the bullpen to win 6-2.
