Shubhanshu Shukla is undergoing a series of post-mission procedures and is expected to return to India by August 17, said Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
“Dragon and the @Axiom_Space Ax-4 crew are on track to reenter Earth’s atmosphere and splash down off the coast of San Diego at ~2:31 a.m. PT tomorrow. Dragon will also announce its arrival with a brief sonic boom prior to splashing down in the Pacific Ocean,” SpaceX posted.
Shukla, an Indian Air Force pilot, became the first Indian to visit the $150 billion orbiting space laboratory and only the second Indian to travel to space since Rakesh Sharma’s historic mission in 1984.
