Logan Stankoven signed an eight-year, $48 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. It has an average annual value of $6 million.

Winger was obtained by the Hurricanes in the March 7 trade with the Dallas Stars that sent forward Mikko Rantanen to the Stars.

Former Dallas Stars forward Logan Stankoven agreed to terms Tuesday on an eight-year extension with the Carolina Hurricanes, the team announced. Stankoven’s new contract will be worth $6 million annually, and will begin with the 2026-27 campaign. He was acquired from Dallas at the trade deadline as part of the return for Mikko Rantanen.
