The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death after a body was found wrapped in a tarp along Highway 51 on Sunday morning.

Preliminary investigation says his manner of death is blunt force trauma and cause of death is a homicide.

The vehicle, a black Lincoln MKX, belonged to William Abraham, police said. Abraham, 69, of Baton Rouge, was found dead of blunt force trauma, rolled in tarp on the side of La. 51 between Fluker and the village of Tangipahoa, shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday.
