Texas House Democratic lawmakers signaled on Thursday they are preparing to end their standoff over redistricting and return to the state.

The leader of Democrats in the Texas House said the battle over redistricting, which could determine control of Congress, is likely to continue in the courts.

The lawmakers have faced bomb threats, separation from their families and loss of income — as Republicans threaten another special session to push redistricting.
