The Detroit Tigers (77–53) have picked it up in the second half, currently riding a four-game winning streak that has pushed their division lead back to double digits (10.5 games) entering Saturday. A huge reason for the team’s recent success as they heat up heading into back-to-back postseason appearances has been Riley Greene returning to his first-half form.
Kansas City has notched victories in his past five starts, with Wacha recording the win in his last four outings. The Royals and Wacha will look to keep both streaks going in the middle contest of a three-game series against the host Detroit Tigers on Saturday evening.
