Lawrence now has another incredible weapon to throw to and the Jaguars offense will feature one of the league's top receiving duos in Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. In his final season at Colorado, Hunter recorded 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns while Thomas went for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns during his rookie season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled a rabbit out of the hat with their trade up with the Cleveland Browns. Drafting two-way phenom Travis Hunter at No. 2 overall was even more stunning — though their urgent need at both wide receiver and cornerback might’ve hinted at the move.

It was a hefty price for the Jaguars to pay to move up just three spots to draft Hunter, but fans immediately agreed that the biggest winner from the Jaguars' decision was quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Hunter won the Heisman Trophy following an outstanding 2024 season on both sides of the ball with Colorado.
