Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is doubtful to play in Sunday's Week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on December 28 the Dolphins have downgraded Tagovailoa to doubtful for the Week 17 showdown. Tagovailoa is dealing with a hip injury. “Tagovailoa still is pushing to play Sunday, but if he can’t, Tyler Huntley would be in line to replace him,” Schefter wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

If Tagovailoa is unable to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, the team would turn to backup Tyler Huntley to take over in the starting lineup. Huntley started three games for Miami earlier this season while Tagovailoa was on injured reserve. The Dolphins went 1-2 in those games and Huntley threw one touchdown and one interception.
