Update: Acres burned in San Diego County grows to 6,624.8, Border 2 Fire still 10% contained
Border 2 Fire initially started 1:58 p.m. Jan. 23 in San Diego County. After being active for 47 hours, it has burned 6,624.8 acres, an increase of 125 acres since the last update. A fire crew of 1,177 effectively contained 10% of the fire by Saturday afternoon. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.
