The Kansas City Chiefs have officially requested an extension on their June 30 deadline to decide on relocation.

The very first logo for the Kansas City Chiefs (Dallas Texans at the time) franchise was created in 1960. Bob Taylor, a cartoonist, designed this logo during their reign as Dallas Texans.

The Chiefs’ logo simple features the letters ‘KC’ enclosed in an arrowhead shape. That is now the only reference to the Native American identity taken on previously.
