The Tampa Police Department has arrested a fellow officer after a traffic stop on I-275 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

A Tampa Police Department probationary officer is off the street after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence during a late-night traffic stop on Interstate 275 just before midnight on May 9.

An off-duty police officer was arrested for operating while intoxicated, the Albion Department of Public Safety said.

Riley Carroll resigned from the La Crosse Police Department in 2025, a few months after he was arrested for drunk driving in Minnesota. He was convicted of careless driving and now works at the police department in Sparta.
