Celestial enthusiasts across Southern California will have a chance to watch the moon turn red during a total eclipse early Tuesday, but you’ll have to be up before dawn to catch it.

Early Tuesday morning, the moon will flush crimson as it creeps through Earth’s shadow during a total lunar eclipse.

"If conditions are just right and there’s a bit of mist or rain in the air, you may even spot a rare phenomenon called a moonbow ," according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
