Roanoke code enforcement has cited the operator of a downtown parking garage where the elevator hasn’t worked in at least four years.

The parking garage beside the Amtrak platform in downtown Roanoke was ordered closed over physical issues including a rusted staircase, exposed electrical wiring and its long-broken elevator.
