Vincent Cerda Jr., 40, was shot around 10 a.m. near 29th Avenue and McDowell Road, according to the Glendale Police Department. In a Thursday update, police said he died after being brought to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a man in his 40s, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to a Glendale police spokesperson.

Glendale police announced the arrests of two women suspected of using counterfeit money at multiple In-N-Out locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

The family of Dillon Sieback, who was wrongfully killed by a Glendale police officer in January 2025, has filed a civil lawsuit against the city of Glendale.

The lawsuit filed in federal court on Dec. 31 also accuses the Glendale Police Department of having a history of excessive force.
