HOUSTON - Hurricane season has officially ended and Texas dodged tropical trouble for the first time in three years. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30 each year. Texas did not see a landfalling tropical depression, tropical storm or hurricane this year. It’s the first time that has happened since 2022.

Floridians credit the Brightline’s horrible record of causing deaths as the reason hurricanes have been staying away from the state. Tiffany said that residents jokingly call it the “Death Train” and say that it has to be “fed” to keep the storms at bay.
