Shohei Ohtani has been a valuable player for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, showing off his versatility as both a hitter and pitcher. Ohtani continues to make MLB history, including during a lengthy Game 3 by becoming the first player in MLB history to record four hits and five walks in one game.

The Seattle Mariners announced Friday that former pitcher Yoervis Medina died at the age of 37. Born in Venezuela, Medina signed with the Mariners as an amateur free agent in 2005. He went on to spend parts of three Major League seasons in Seattle and part of one season with the Chicago Cubs.

At 33 years old, Butera is the youngest MLB manager in more than 50 years. He has been serving as the senior director of player development for the Tampa Bay Rays since October 2023 after one year as an assistant field coordinator for the team.
