A vacant commercial building on Sacramento's 2300 block of American River Drive erupted in flames Saturday morning, sending a thick plume of smoke across the neighborhood. Fire crews arrived to find heavy fire chewing through the boarded up structure and moved fast to knock down the visible flames.
