The Wheeler Wildcats will look to extend their unblemished Region 5 record when they host North Paulding tonight at Wheeler High School in Marietta. The defending Class 6A state champions enter the contest 18-5 overall and a perfect 9-0 in region play, while the visiting Wolfpack bring a 5-18 record and 2-8 league mark into the matchup.

Leading scorer Solo Ball (15.4 points per game) missed the Dec. 20 win over DePaul with a minor injury after a career-high 26 points against Butler. Alex Karaban (21 points), Tarris Reed Jr. (14) and Silas DeMary Jr. (13) picked up the slack in Ball’s absence.
