Bailey’s pre-draft process sparked a number of rumors about his interest in coming to Utah when the Jazz took him with the fifth overall pick in last month’s NBA Draft. But the 18-year-old wing has quickly put those rumors and concerns to rest in his first days in the state.

Bailey and Collier actually played against one another while in high school and knew each other before becoming Jazz teammates. And, Bailey has another familiar face in the building. Omar Cooper Jr., the son of Bailey’s longtime manager Omar Cooper, is a guest coach for the Jazz’s Summer League team.

It has been a whirlwind star to Ace Bailey’s NBA career. From being the fifth overall pick in the NBA Draft, to flying to Utah, to immediately beginning practie with the Jazz Summer League team, he’s picking up the Jazz system as fast as he can.
