The spacecraft, which carried two empty seats for Boeing Starliner astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, docked at approximately 3:30 a.m. EDT after a 28-hour journey.

NASA astronaut Sunita Williams marked her 59th birthday aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on September 19, 2024.

SpaceX Crew 9, led by Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov, arrived at the ISS and received a warm welcome from Expedition 72 crew, including Sunita Williams.

Due to bad weather conditions, the SpaceX rescue mission has been rescheduled to September 28 from September 26.
