Indian stock exchanges closed on Monday for Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024, marking the 14th trading holiday this year. Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 ended flat on Tuesday, with Nifty falling close to 10% from its September high.

Trading will resume from November 21 onward. In the previous session, the Indian stock market halted its seven consecutive days losing streak.

All segments, including equity, derivative and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) will remain closed. Apart from this, the public holidays will also be for capital markets, futures and option divisions.
