Gov. Jared Polis declared a weather-related disaster Thursday evening, authorizing the Colorado National Guard to step in and help residents impacted by the latest winter storm.

After several inches of snow fell in Denver weather this week and several more inches expected by Saturday morning, the city announced Friday that it will activate its residential snow plows overnight.

Some areas of New Mexico have already seen over 2 feet of snow, and it's going to keep falling into Saturday. Here's the forecast.
