FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Strong cold front brings a freeze by Monday morning
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A cold front will send us back to winter for a couple days, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures and a freeze on Monday morning.
With winds out of the northwest near 10 to 15 mph, wind chills will become dangerously cold. They are expected to drop to 25 to 30 degrees below zero, making frostbite a major concern Sunday. 20 minutes is all it would take for frostbite to develop on any exposed skin, so make sure to cover as much skin as you can and wear multiple layers.
