LAPD seeks a suspect for a non-fatal stabbing of a woman in East Hollywood, captured on video. The public is urged to assist in identifying the assailant.

Police are searching for a man who was seen in a video stabbing a woman in East Hollywood. The attack happened on Jan. 18 at around 12 p.m. and appeared to be at random. A video of the incident from the Los Angeles Police Department showed three people crossing the street.

It happened on Jan. 18 at around noon, near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Edgemont Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Gio Insignares reports.

The woman was walking down the street when the attacker approached from behind and plunged a knife into her twice, surveillance video shows.
