Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year, while Mariona Caldentey, the Arsenal forward, won the women’s Player of the Year award. Salah has now won the top individual prize in English football three times thanks to his starring role in Liverpool ’s title win last term.

Salah becomes the first player to win three PFA Player of the Year awards, having also secured the crown for the 2017-18 and 2021-22.

Despite Salah insisting that Arsenal are the front-runners this season, many feel as though Liverpool are actually the favourites. Indeed, Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, and Rio Ferdinand are among the many pundits who have backed Salah and co to finish first once again.
