A supermoon put on a super display for the East Midlands overnight. Thursday night saw a Buck Moon rise - and photographers across the region were out to see it. The Buck Moon gets its name because traditionally July is the time when a buck - or male deer - grows its full antlers.
Experts say July’s full moon could reduce sleep by up to 20 minutes on the evening of the 10th and as much as 90 minutes in the days leading up to and following it.
