Thornton Township’s board meeting on Tuesday ended prematurely when two trustees boycotted the session, halting all decision-making, including the appointment of a new trustee.

Two Thornton Township Trustees are preventing the board from conducting business Tuesday night by skipping the meeting. Christopher Gonzalez and Carmen Carlisle said in a joint statement they’ve made the “difficult decision” to skip the meeting.
