"We thank all of these courageous survivors for coming forth and seeking justice," St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Price Smith said Friday in a statement.

Yahya Maly, 28, has been charged with multiple counts of rape, sodomy and kidnapping. Missouri police believed he lived in Tucson for a month.

Prosecutors said another woman has come forward since initial charges, making it six victims, and similar crimes will be presented to a grand jury.

The 28-year-old said he’s having “panic attacks in jail” and requested a bond reduction in a recent court hearing. The judge denied his request, deeming him “a danger to the community.”

Police are seeking additional information on alleged rapist Yahya Maly, who stayed in Tucson between Dec. 3, 2022 - Jan. 17, 2023.
