Two people were killed in the Boksburg area after a cash-in-transit heist in Dawn Park, with video footage capturing how residents scrambled for cash left behind.

The robbery once again put G4S on the spot only two months after another heist where some of its staff members and police officers stole Sh34 million at Yaya Centre in Nairobi.

A G4S cash vehicle was robbed shortly after collecting money at Bridge City Shopping Centre in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday evening.

The suspect who was trapped inside the G4S armoured van had to be rescued by police, while his accomplices fled the scene.
