A new electronic log rule could be proposed by September, said Administrator Anne Ferro Thursday, March 14, at a congressional hearing, testifying to a House subcommittee.

The rule will mandate the use of electronic logging devices by truck operators who are required to keep records of duty status. FMCSA published a proposed e-log rule last March.
