This post will show you how to open Python PY files in Windows 11/10. PY is a script file written in Python programming language.
It isn’t an uncommon scenario. The obvious answer is to create an archive — a zip or tar file, maybe — and include a shell script that you have to tell the user to run after unpacking.
This means that anyone can open the encoded script file in Notepad, but all they’ll see is a bunch of gibberish—much like they’d see if they were to open an executable file in Notepad.
