Unveiled for the first time at SHOT Show 2015, Springfield Armory introduced its smallest-to-date polymer-frame .45 ACP, a 3.3” double-stack sub-compact with a 9+1 magazine capacity.
Springfield Armory has upgraded one of its most popular concealed-carry models—the single stack XD-S in .45 ACP—to include improved ergonomics and additional sight options.
The XDs is a single stack version of the XD, aimed for the concealed carry market originally the pistol came chambered in .45 ACP, however, they also introduced a 9mm version later.
The XD-S Mod.2 in 9mm survived a grueling 25,000 round torture test without a failure. This is an amazing testament to the quality of the pistol, especially when considering its small size.
