House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) was on the receiving end of a blistering scolding on Wednesday morning over his treatment of a Democratic lawmaker on Tuesday that led to threats from the controversial GOP lawmaker. During an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," ex-Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) sat and watched a clip of Comer haranguing Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) for calling Donald Trump a grifter for cashing in personally from the Oval Office while also suggesting Elon Musk is the actual president of the U.S. That led to Comer not only striking Frost's comments, but telling him he was no longer allowed to speak — combined with a threat to have him dragged out of the hearing. "I mean, that's a really good way to lose the midterms." Addressing the video clip, she added, "I hope that that goes viral, because the truth is, the only thing we know about what Musk and Trump are doing in all these federal agencies is what he puts on his privately owned social media. He owns it privately, I mean, it is something that he bought for billions of dollars, and now he is lifting it up."
