In early February, 19-year-old Destiny Skurdal, of Ames, was charged with first-degree murder. She had previously been charged with first-degree robbery in connection to the incident. Court records show Skurdal admitted she invited Stoneburner to her apartment to rob him of drugs and money. On Monday, two more suspects were taken into custody.

The arrests come after Ames police officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 200 block of South 5th Street in Ames on Jan. 18, finding 25-year-old Parker L. Stoneburner of Boone with a gunshot wound. Stoneburner died due to his injuries.
