Dolphins HC candidate profile: Could Robert Saleh return to AFC East?
It was the Jets offense, quarterbacked by Zach Wilson for most of his tenure, that cost Saleh his job. When the team signed Aaron Rodgers to correct that issue, he immediately tore his Achilles in his first game with the Jets. When he returned in 2024, Rodgers wasn't the same player.
Dick Vermeil, Bill Belichick, Tony Dungy, Tom Coughlin, Pete Carroll, Gary Kubiak, Andy Reid, and Bruce Arians all won a Super Bowl after failing to do so in their first chance as an NFL head coach. Saleh would love to join that list.
However, with San Francisco beginning its postseason run on Sunday when it travels to Lincoln Financial Field to face the defending Super Bowl champion, the Eagles, news about Selah's interviews could be seen as a distraction. Still, Selah remains focused on the task at hand.
