A man accused of opening fire in a Lake Worth Beach alleyway is now facing multiple felony charges after deputies say he pulled a gun on them during his arrest.

A man drove himself to the Kihei Medic Quarters after being shot early Thursday morning, prompting an attempted murder investigation.

Prosecutors dropped charges Wednesday against a Gary man sentenced to life in prison for another crime, but refiling remains an option.

A man who shook a newborn baby boy and caused serious injuries has been jailed for seven years for attempted murder. Stuart Flood, 28, from Elgin in Moray, was found guilty of assaulting the infant over a three-month period in Aberdeen in 2021.

"This was very brutal — the facts of this case are very brutal, horrific," RPD Chief David Ewing said. "I mean it shocked us to our core."
